DIRECWAY® utilizes an Indoor Transmit Unit (ITU) and Indoor Receive Unit (IRU). Your system is configured with a return channel over satellite. The outbound requests are sent through the ITU, which in turn sends the data to the satellite and then to the DIRECWAY® Network Operations Center (NOC). The NOC then forwards the request to the Internet, where the data is routed to its final destination. Data returning to your PC or network is then routed back to the NOC, where it is passed up to the satellite and then back to the IRU at your location, where the high-speed data stream is decoded and presented to the user (DW4000 systems).

Users with networks require Satellite Router/Gateway ™ DW4020, which distributes the satellite signal to the multiple users on the local area network. That way all users can have high-speed Internet connectivity.
